Buy Status (SNT)

SNT is the native token of the Status network. Status is an open-source, peer-to-peer messaging service and mobile client built to interact with dApps on the Ethereum blockchain. Users can generate new wallets directly in the mobile client, or use pre-existing wallets or ENS addresses. Because the messaging service is hosted on Ethereum, it is censorship resistant and end-to-end encrypted. This allows users to send and receive messages directly using their Ethereum wallet to other Ethereum wallets. The status mobile client also allows users to access a plethora of different decentralised applications. SNT is used for governance of the status client through DAO voting, community curation of content, dApp curation, allowing other users to find useful and popular dApps and secures the network through an incentivisation structure to deploy and use status nodes.
